Hate Seeing Typos and Mistakes

I’m not perfect by any means, but I’d expect someone like Google to go through some more rigorous quality control and review process!
They forgot to close their a tag and included a space as part of the linkable text. Looks fugly.

Showing Jeremy Windows Live Writer

I wanted to show Jeremy Windows Live Writer, since he asked me the other day if there were any apps out there that let you post to blogs. I told him I just use my blog, but I figured I’d fire this thing back up and show him.

15 Years Ago, a Story

15 years ago today, at about this time, I was in Ann Arbor, Michigan, visiting my dad, Athanasios, after having gone through a much-needed heart transplant. I can’t believe it’s been 15 years!!!
The day started off, at least the heart transplant part of it, with an accident near Battle Creek. I believe a man in [...]

Login, signup, Log In, Sign Up!?!??!

Is it just me that thinks the Internet world is grossly misusing the terms login, log in, signup, and sign up?
If we’re talking about what a user DOES, they “log in” and they “sign up”.
If we’re talking about the things they own, they own a login to a site, they remember a signup to a [...]

Shrinking Pics While Using Web-Based Mail Programs

Periodically, I get humongous e-mails from people who don’t shrink their photos before they send them. Normally, I don’t care about this, as I’m never anywhere that a broadband connection isn’t nearby. However, there are some people who have mailboxes that can’t receive large attachments, typically 10MB or more. So, while researching a solution to [...]

Upgrades and New Database-Saving Form!

I upgraded my Wordpress to 2.8.4 (security, mainly) and found MM Forms, which is just like Contact Form 7, but lets you save the form submissions to the database as well as export out the data. This could be very useful for some people.
